How ever you found us, you are very welcome. Maybe you came here from another website that links to us, or maybe you stumbled upon us by accident. Maybe you were LOOKING for us specifically, in which case that is awesome.
Radio K is our awesome little radio station, in our awesome little town in the Bay Of Plenty called Kawerau. We are not a commercial radio station, we are run by the community for the community.
The best thing to outline right here is our current weekday programming, which with time will grow... 6am to 6pm are our current goals for having live hosts running the shows, once we have those locked in, well oiled and running nicely, we will expand into pre-recorded late-shows at 10pm....
0600 - 1000 - The Breakfast Show with Marlon.
1000 - 1200 - Retro-Rewind.
1200 - 1300 - The MUNCH Hour!
1300 - 1500 - Community Programmes
1500 - 1700 - YOUth Show with Tama D
1700 - 1800 - The Chart Show
1800 -
1900 -
2000 -
2100 -
2200 - 0600 -
Eventually we will dedicate a seperate page to all of the feature shows, to fill you in on what they're all about as individual programmes...
We also plan to expand into weekend programming. That's not to say we don't have good music on the weekends, but the station is not 'manned' at present.
